Worked as Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes and Tax Member of the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal and was the senior most Officer in the State in the Department of Commercial Taxes,at the time of appointment as State Information Commissioner.

1).Is a Post Graduate in Economics and was selected as class-1 Gazetted officer (Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Taxes) in 1985, by the K.P.S.C.

2).He was promoted as Deputy Commissioner in 1994, as Joint Commissioner in 2006 and as Additional Commissioner in January 2013.

3).He holds a clean and very good track record of meritorious service and worked for 32 years in Government as a Quasi-judicial authority.

4). As a Joint Commissioner, he was heading, administering, managing and Governing three Divisions of the department and efficiently Administered SAKALA & e-fecilities Schemes of the Govt/Dept. And an Additional Commissioner he was Administering and governing state level officers and officials.

5).He has also worked for 4 years as Tax Member of the Karnataka Appellate Tribunal and has passed judgments disposing 2250 Appeals.

The Government of Karnataka vide notification No.DPAR:222:RTI:2017dated 11-01-2018 appointed as State Information Commissioner.
